This non-engineered post anchor is designed for use on decks or surfaces less than 30 inches above the ground. The post anchors elevate the 6x6 posts, keeping them raised off the surface and away from standing water, which helps extend their lifespan.

The galvanized steel construction of the post anchors is coated with a black powder finish, ensuring a durable and attractive appearance that will last for years. The kit is compatible with a wide range of wood species, including cedar, spruce, redwood, pine, and hem-fir, with a moisture content between 12% and 20%. To comply with residential engineering guidelines, it is important not to use any species with a specific gravity (density) lower than the recommended range.

For ease of installation, the Titan Galvanized Post Anchor Kit is compatible with ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) treated wood. However, when working with hardwoods, a hole saw and Forstner bit are required, as the tube of the anchor cannot be easily impaled into the wood.

The versatility of this product allows it to be used in a variety of outdoor projects, including wood or composite decks, concrete surfaces, stairs, pergolas, pavilions, and gazebos. The post anchors are designed to fit 5.5-inch square wood posts, with a maximum post spacing of 8 feet for 6x6 anchors. The kit is also compatible with composite post sleeves and skirts, further enhancing the customization options.
